In this video, Vernon McKown, the founder and CEO of Ideal Homes, explains what we do to provide a healthy home for our homeowners. Early in our company’s history, we were obsessed with going above and beyond standard building practices to become one of the most innovative builders in America. We partnered with the US Department of Energy, The American Lung Association, the Environmental Protection Agency, and many other third parties to build test homes. Vernon also served as the national board president for the energy and environmental builders Association. Through those partnerships, we learned a lot about the state-of-the-art building practices. We were the first builder in America to build affordable Energy Star homes, and we introduced the concept of energy-efficient homes with fresh-air ventilation systems into the Oklahoma market. Many Oklahoma residents suffer from allergies. Our fresh air ventilation system can help with that.
