IDEAL Energy Efficiency

Enjoy money in your pocket with an energy-efficient Ideal home
An energy-efficient home not only means less money out of pocket each month in utility bills, but it's also environmentally friendly. Not all new homes are built the same, though. Ideal Homes & Neighborhoods is the most nationally recognized builder in Oklahoma for energy efficiency. Not only does an Ideal home offer some of the lowest HERS scores in Oklahoma (the lower the better), but we do so while still creating a beautiful home with tons of natural light.
The Ideal Homes & Neighborhoods guarantee
- Guaranteed heating and cooling usage.
- Yes, you read it right. Guaranteed. Ideal Homes & Neighborhoods is the only Oklahoma builder partnered with the Environments for Living® program to guarantee heating and cooling usage on most Ideal homes we build. We’ll tell you upfront how much your average heating and cooling usage should be. If it’s more, we’ll reimburse you. It’s that simple. There are no other builders in the state offering that kind of green warranty. In the last five years, we’ve saved our customers $3.6 million, collectively. That’s a whole lotta green.
- Included one-year warranty gives you the peace-of-mind to move into a new home.
- Included 10-year structural warranty ensures you have confidence in your home’s foundation for many years to come.
Innovative energy-saving technologies
For more than 30 years, Ideal Homes & Neighborhoods has been the expert on energy efficiency. The U.S. Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, American Lung Association, and top manufacturers and researchers have turned to Ideal Homes & Neighborhoods to test the latest and most innovative building technologies. Ideal puts the best of these technologies into all its homes. So, whether you plan on living in your new home for five years or 50, you will find a high-performance home that is more healthy, more efficient, and more affordable. No other builder has built more high-performance homes than Ideal Homes & Neighborhoods.

Ask the right questions before you buy
To learn if your home is energy efficient, here are some smart questions to ask when buying a new home.
- Get a third-party inspection for energy efficiency. Ideal Homes & Neighborhoods contracts third-party inspectors to conduct rigorous checks of every home and mechanical system included in the price of your IDEAL home.
- Guaranteed heating and cooling usage. Every Ideal home qualifies for guaranteed heating and cooling usage on most Ideal homes. If your actual use goes over expectations, you are refunded the difference.
- HERS (Home Energy Rating System) score. HERS is an apples-to-apples comparison of your home to other homes. Ideal homes’ HERS scores average about 40 percent lower than a typical new home and 53% lower than a typical used home.
Ideal Homes & Neighborhoods is setting the standard for energy efficiency. Let us help you find your perfect energy-saving home.
