Salvation Army, Cleveland County, Is There to Help

This is part 2 of our continuing series profiling organizations that Ideal and its employee family have a history of supporting. The coronavirus pandemic has made it harder than ever before for these wonderful non-profits to serve the individuals that rely on them. If you are in a position to help, please know these organizations greatly need and deserve your assistance. At this—and in every—time of need the Salvation Army in Cleveland County is there to provide food, groceries, utility assistance, special seasonal needs, disaster relief coordination and residential homeless shelters. During COVID-19, the Salvation Army continues its services in Central Oklahoma without interruption except where required to avoid congregating. To determine which services are available in Cleveland County, please contact the office directly at 405.364.9910. Once coronavirus restraints are lifted, the Salvation Army will continue with its program of services, including the following. Shelter Program The Salvation Army Cleveland County Shelter is open to any man, woman or family who needs a clean, warm, safe place to stay. Their shelter is a safe haven, a home away from home, where individuals can feel secure. It’s a place where they can be nurtured physically, mentally and spiritually. Social Services Their Social Service Division helps individuals at their point of need through case management, direct support, partnerships with other community agencies, plus corporate and private partnerships. Their programs of assistance include:
- A food pantry
- Clothing assistance
- Utility assistance
- ID & birth certificate assistance
- Lice treatment
