A look back at 2017: Eight new model homes in seven Ideal Homes communities

The past 12 months have been busy for us at Ideal Homes. In addition to selling and building new homes for our homebuyers, we’ve also constructed seven model homes in our new home communities throughout the Oklahoma City metro region. At Skyline Trails, our newest community, located in Mustang, OK, we built a model home from our Edison floor plan. This three-bedroom home makes sensible use of every inch of the 1,386 square feet, letting you live larger than you might expect. The open concept and vaulted ceilings contribute to the spacious feeling in the main living area. The kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, with the bonus of a walk-in pantry and beautiful cabinetry and backsplash. We recently completed the construction of a Cambridge model at The Reserve at Valencia, one of the most sought-after communities in Edmond. The Cambridge offers 2,868 of indoor living space, including four bedrooms and 2.5 baths. More than spacious living, this model home is accented with exceptional details, like crown molding, built-ins, and transom windows. The center island kitchen includes granite countertops, decorator cabinetry, breakfast bar, and a wall oven, plus the generous placement of windows to allow streaming sunlight throughout the home. The upstairs bonus suite features a sliding barn door to the full bath, and a shiplap accent wall. Earlier this year, we opened four other model homes in our communities. At Wildflower in Oklahoma City, the Emilia represents Ideal Homes’ commitment to energy efficiency. This three-bedroom floor plan exceeds the five-star energy efficiency rating, without compromising style. The oversized eat-in kitchen incorporates ample workspace, stainless steel appliances, and a gas stove. One of our other Edmond communities, Northbrooke, now includes a Frederickson model home for sale. This four-bedroom floor plan is perfect for growing families. The open floor plan is situated under ten-foot ceilings, enhancing the feeling of the 1,486 square feet of indoor living space. In Norman, OK, we added a new model home in 2017 at our Greenleaf Trails new home community. The Inwood floor plan presents 1,768 square feet of indoor living space that includes an open layout, tall ceilings, and a kitchen designed for entertaining. This particular model features a center island with a breakfast bar that easily seats three people. The living room includes a gas fireplace. Sliding barn doors add privacy to the entrance to the second and third bedroom area. The master suite’s bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet are sized for comfort. The popularity of Ideal Homes’ Jefferson new home design inspired us to build this floor plan as a model home at our Edmond community of Northbrooke. The Jefferson provides four bedrooms and two full baths in 1,813 square feet of indoor living space. The split floor plan and large, central living area make this home a great choice for families. The master suite is designed for “suite” living, with a spa-like bathroom and smartly outfitted walk-in closet. The kitchen’s oversized island has a breakfast bar and the upper cabinetry features glass-front doors, with a decorative backsplash below. In Valencia, we add the Oakland model home, which features a unique hearth room off of the kitchen/breakfast room where you can enjoy time by the fire.
