De'Andre's Journey as a First-Time Homebuyer

Meet De'Andre! He is originally from Alabama but moved from Dallas to Oklahoma six years ago for a new role at work.

De’Andre had been going through the renting cycle through those years. Recently, he considered taking the leap into homeownership knowing he would be investing in his future.

He did some house hunting throughout the Oklahoma City Metro but soon realized that the Mustang/Yukon area was the place for him. Becoming a first-time homebuyer is such an exciting process, and De’Andre is thrilled to share his journey with others.

He is most excited about adding personal touches to the aesthetics of a new home custom built just for him. A place where he can entertain friends and have family stay when they come to visit.

Once he selected the perfect homesite for his new Drummond floor plan, in our Skyline Trails community, he visited Ideal Design Studio. This is where he was able to choose his favorite home decor options that best fit his unique style. 

“I like that Ideal offers various customization options that allow me to tailor my new home to my liking,” De'Andre said.

He is also excited about the exterior elevation and colors he picked for his modern home and is eagerly waiting for the construction process to start. 

"I love the exterior the most, painted with all white bricks. I like that it will have a nice clean, luxurious look," De'Andre explained.

And his selection of tile for the primary bath and shower? He's going for the moody, upscale, bachelor pad vibes. 

There is no doubt that his home will be stunning and unique. De'Andre's journey as a first-time homebuyer is a reminder that with a little bit of planning and imagination, you can create the home of your dreams. 

“I really like the quality of an Ideal home,” he said. “What sold me was knowing that no other house would look the same as mine. I’ve never been a big fan of the cookie cutter house layouts and developments.”
