Edmond, Deer Creek & Piedmont Ideal Students Go Back to School!
July 29, 2021
After 2020, most of us are glad to see that it’s time to go back to school -- time to start watching the sales for school supplies, getting school clothes or uniforms ready, and checking those bedtimes. For your convenience, we’ve gathered a few facts about the schools in our Ideal Homes & Neighborhoods communities including start times, enrollment, and back to school events.
Covid-19 protocols: Schools will be opening up to a full schedule for the upcoming fall semester. As of right now, masks are recommended for all students and staff but not required. That situation may change if infection rates climb, depending on CDC guidelines. Schools will maintain all safety protocols, including contact tracing, social distancing to the extent possible, and enhanced sanitization and cleaning.

New residents who want to enroll their children in Edmond Public Schools before the start of the 2021-22 school year can do so at the district’s enrollment center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to access and complete the necessary forms in advance. Documentation needed at the time of enrollment includes two verifiable proofs of residency, a legal birth certificate, immunization records and a photo ID of the parent or guardian.
If new residents are unable to visit the enrollment center during the week it is open, they can enroll their child at their home school. Elementary schools will reopen in August and middle schools reopened July 14 to serve parents. High schools remain open during the summer from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday but are closed from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for lunch. For more information about the centralized enrollment center, call 405-726-7900 or 405-726-7901.
