When it comes to putting the finishing touches on your Ideal home, Taylor Stallard, owner of Blonde + Blue Design, has all the holiday tips on how to add a little Christmas charm to your space.

1. Add a faux floral arrangement in your entryway. This is very cost-efficient and greenery can be used over and over by changing out the stems for each holiday. Stallard spruced this one up by adding rich red berries.

2. A simple yet elegant touch is a red ribbon. It adds a pop of color when tied around sconces or vertical decor hanging off the walls, and it screams Christmas time.

3. If you have tall ceilings and a lot of open vertical space above your mantle, add tall pieces, like trees or a picture with garland to take up some of the open area. It makes the room appear larger. Scale the decor to the size of the room.

4. Your Christmas tree should look like it belongs in your home and coordinate with the rest of the room. Use textures that mimic the room like wood-beaded garland, wool ornaments or ribbon with the same colors.

5. Add something whimsical. If your home is modern, take the signature holiday village scene and elevate it from a traditional look to a more modern street scene. It is also fun to add lights, wreaths and faux snow to give it a holiday touch.
