If you just want to eat like a cowboy that is the goal of the annual Chuck Wagon Gathering & Children’s Cowboy Festival at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum on Memorial Day Weekend. Enjoy authentic food, western music, and take stagecoach and covered wagon rides around the festival grounds. There are all kinds of outdoor activities for the entire family. If arts and music is your thing, the 39th annual Paseo Arts Festival also takes place Memorial Day weekend. You’ll be treated to the works of more than 80 visual artists while dozens of musicians and live performers showcase their talents on two stages throughout the weekend. But don’t worry. You won’t go hungry as the food court features a wide variety of festival treats. The variety of events in and around the city make it a great place to live and raise a family.
