Our New Home - The First Step

Today is a big day for my family. We just filled out the paperwork to build a brand-new Ideal Home. As an almost 10-year employee of Ideal Homes, I know first-hand that the owners and my co-workers don't take the responsibility of building a family's home lightly. We've lived in our current Ideal Home for six years, and we've had so many great moments there. It's where I brought my youngest son home from the hospital as a newborn. It's where I've put up the Christmas tree and outdoor lights with my family, and it's where we've had birthday celebrations for my six-year-old. It's full of wonderful memories, but we're excited for this next step. Our first Ideal home was built and ready for us to move into when we purchased it, so this will be the first time we'll be going to the Ideal Homes' Design Center to select all the details and finishes for our home. I've already spent hours on Pinterest and Houzz dreaming of what I want the kitchen and master bath to look like. My husband is excited about the 3-car tandem garage and the upstairs bonus room that he'll use as his man cave. My six-year-old can't wait to live near the fishing pond and community pool. This will be the home where I take first-day-of-school photos and where my boys will spend their childhoods playing in the back yard. So, yes, this is a big day for my family. And I wouldn't trust it to anyone else but Ideal Homes.
