March 10, 2018

St. Patrick's Day is upon us, and there are a lot of great ways to celebrate in the Oklahoma City metro. Whether you're looking for family fun or a great place to have a green beer with friends, you'll find plenty of opportunities for you in the OKC area.

Norman

Start the festivities early, with O'Connell's St. Pat's 8k Fun Run on March 10th. Then, return to O'Connell's on St. Patrick's Day, on March 17th,  for some green beer and traditional festivities. Or stop by McNellie's Pub for some fun.

Edmond

Want to learn how to Irish dance? Here's your opportunity! The McTeggart Irish Dancers of Oklahoma will be holding their 3rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Ceili on March 17 at St. Luke's Edmond. You will also have an opportunity to try Irish stew. Learn more details and get your tickets here.

Oklahoma City

Head downtown for the O'City St. Patrick's Day Parade. The information below was taken from the parade website. "On Saturday, March 17, 2018, throw on your finest green shirt and come celebrate the greenest day of the year with your city! The parade will begin at 11 am with groups from all over the OKC metro showing their St. Paddy's Day pride. Make sure you kick off this day the right way in downtown OKC!"

Choctaw

For St. Patrick's Day fun in the Choctaw / Midwest City / Nicoma Park area, check out the Black Raven Pub. They'll have live music beginning at 11am.

Stillwater

Not part of the Oklahoma City metro but only a short drive away, you could spend the day celebrating at Eskimo Joe's. Start the day with some green eggs and ham, and then, stay for the green beer. Don't forget to get a green Eskimo Joe's t-shrit.
